Managers xmas swap

Here are a couple manager swap pictures.
Hailey made a decorative plate with vinyl, has a cool stand to hold it.

Karon
Wow, this took some time to make, Karon cut out the top of  a pocket from
her daughters jeans and sewed it to another pair of jeans to make this cool journal.
She even sewed the flower on!
I think I would of glued..hehehe
Very cool

Diana
Ok, have to admit, the bag is almost half gone..lol It is filled with different flavors of hersheys kisses
Yum!

More to come!

Day 20 - Chris's project

This was kinda hard to photograph but it is a stand to hold sticky notes. Gotta hide from my kids, they love to take my sticky notes and make those moving picture books, flip books I think they r called..lol
So they draw a picture on each page and then u flip the pages quickly to see the "movie" It is fun to see how they think but man, like I said, there goes all my sticky notes!
Love the embossed butterfly!

Dec 19th gift

Blyss made this wonderful project, The handmade flowers are so wonderful on it!
Remember, you can click on the photos to get a closer look :O)
I got these cute tins from axman! Love that place :O)

I got the lockets off ebay and the chains I had to buy a big strand of chain and then added the clasps and end pieces myself.
Then I made a perfume to put on the inside of the locket. Using beeswax and jojoba oil, the perfume oil I used was Egyptian Shalimar. Love the scent. I spent over an hour testing scents at a local herb store, I left with a huge headache..lol
I found when I made the batch, it might not of been as strong as I could have made it.
I wanted the smell to come thru the locket so you could smell it outright but the smell of the metal itself from the locket was stronger. I was afraid to add too much. But if you rub and apply to the skin it leaves a very fresh scent.
I also made some for my daughter but added lip balm to the locket instead of the perfume.
After I made them I got to wondering if maybe the lockets had lead in them since I did get the locket from China, so again off to ebay, I ordered a lead kit and tested the locket and it came up free of lead. Would of hated to toss those all in trash..lol
It was a very fun project to make. I used a medicine dropper to add the warmed perfume waxes and oils to the locket. Had to do very quickly though cuz it cooled fast and plugged the dropper. I found I could usually do 2 lockets at a time, if I did it immediately. If I didnt do it quick enough it would splatter all over the locket and created a fun mess to clean up.
:O)

Today is the 18th, my second project

I LOVED this paper, it is not wrapping paper but handmade. Got it at an estate sale. Beautiful on a gift!

Day 17 brought us...

I have to admit, I ate the candy canes with chocolate right after taking the picture..hahaha
YUM!

Day 16 - Karine

This gift took a long journey to get to us, all the way from Canada!
Now I have seen these before on cards, it is I believe called a waterfall card.
I never thought they worked too well on cards but this is absolutely perfect for a calendar!

What a very creative use for a card technique!
Thanks Karine!

Day 15 - Natalie's gift

This will sure be useful on those outings when the unthinkable oops happens..lol
Thanks Natalie!

Day 14..My first gift is opened today

I had alot of fun making these. Took forever though. Figures, I had just got rid of a ton of jeans my kids didn't wear. Donated them, then decided on this project..lol
Not too smart. So had to beg jeans from everyone I knew, then I ended up just going out and buying them so they were the right size..LOL.  I tried to use this high tech glue but didn"t seem to hold so good, so I used a drill. Let me tell you, I busted several drill bits... Luckily guess what I found on sale at Menards on black friday, You guessed it, drill bits :O) Hope everyone enjoys! If not, donate to some teen..heheeh

We actually have Christmas swaps going on, one just for managers and then one on the forum.
I'll post both here so you can get some ideas going for next year!

First up is Hailey, A very unique gift. I think one that would be really good to help children save those special memories! I forgot to take a picture of her wrapping, darn it! But I did take a picture of the cute tag she made!

Manager Swap: 7 Days of Christmas...Day 7 (Hailey)

Hailey brought a great ending to our Manager 7 Days of Christmas swap! I have always wanted one of these but I don't sew. What makes this such an extra special gift is that she had to come up with patterns for not just one machine but multiple machines! We have a Silhouette, a Wishblade, 4 different KNKs....among us! What a challeng this has been for her but we all LOVE our new covers! Thank you so much Hailey and thanks to all of the managers who contributed their time & effort into this fabulous swap!

Karon

On the 12th Day of Christmas kiaras gave to me...

Well all good things do have to come to an end sometime. Karine made us desk calendars for our 12th and final gift in the 12 Days of Christmas swap! I love the colors she chose and I'm sure with all of the detail she used on each month that this took her awhile to complete. I think it's great! Thanks Karine!

Manager Swap: 7 Days of Christmas...Day 6 (Karon)

Here's what I created for the Managers 7 Days of Christmas swap! It's a miniature first aid kit that you can put either in your purse or your car! I simply altered an Altoids tin and found the supplies to put inside. I even found mirror tiles at an online site (that fit) to put inside for those moments when you need to grab a mirror to check something. Thanks Kathy for that GREAT idea! My favorite part of this box is the die cuts I used to decorate the top of it. I put my Cuttlebug to use and embossed the bandaid to make it look more realistic! Hope everyone enjoys it!

On the 11th Day of Christmas witchdct gave to me...

Kathy made us suncatchers for the 11th Day of Christmas in our 12 Days of Christmas swap! They came to us in a pretty mesh bag inside these darling embossed tins. I can't decide if I want to hang mine up on my rearview mirror or attach it to my keychain so that I can always carry it with me. They are so pretty...and look like they took some time to make. Thank you Kathy!

Manager Swap: 7 Days of Christmas...Day 5 (Diana)

I don't have a photo of Diana's gift all wrapped up...but here is what she made for us! Washer necklaces! I just love the colors and they definitely are very unique items. The closures on them are really interesting too. Thanks Diana....love them!

Karon

On the 10th Day of Christmas movielady gave to me...

Lisa, I think EVERYONE was super-anxious to open your BIG box in this swap! It was definitely worth the wait! She altered a clock for us...WOW! This swap has been so much fun and I sure hate for it to end. I've received so many NEAT things! Thanks so much Lisa!

Karon

Manager Swap: 7 Days of Christmas...Day 4 (Mary Jo)

Now this was a pleasant surprise! Mary Jo made us aprons for Tuesday's gift in the manager's swap. How many times have I ruined a shirt because I don't own one of these? Thanks for such a great handmade gift Mary Jo!

Karon

On the 9th Day of Christmas Char gave to me...

Char made us a really neat interactive tag album that is designed to be "re-gifted" to a good friend. I think every one of the members of the swap chuckled their way thru it. It was well put-together and very colorful. Love it Char...thanks!
